Privacy Policy
Effective July 21, 2026
Duetour (playduetour.com) is a small browser driving game. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens with your information when you use it. The short version: there are no accounts, we run no ads or analytics, and we do not sell or share anything about you.
What we do not collect
Duetour has no sign-up, no login, and no user database. We do not collect your name, email address, contacts, location, or any profile information. We do not use advertising, tracking pixels, or analytics services.
What stays on your device
Your saved discs (playlists you burn), your car customizations (scene, time of day, interior, lighting), and similar preferences are stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. They never leave your browser, and you can erase them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Driving together and voice
- When you create or join a room, your code word is used to connect the two of you directly, peer to peer, using WebRTC. A small third-party signaling service (PeerJS) helps the two browsers find each other; your music, messages, and voice do not pass through our servers.
- Push-to-talk audio goes directly from your browser to your co-rider's browser. It is live only while you hold the button. We do not record, store, or have any access to it.
- Your microphone is only accessed after you grant permission, only transmits while you hold the talk button, and is fully released when you leave the room.
Third-party services
Duetour is built on a few outside services, each with its own privacy practices:
- YouTube (Google). Music plays through YouTube's embedded player. When a song plays, your browser talks to YouTube, which may set cookies and collect data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.
- LRCLIB. To show lyrics, the current song's title and artist are sent to the LRCLIB lyrics API. No personal information is included.
- PeerJS Cloud. Used briefly to connect two riders for multiplayer, as described above.
- Vercel. Our host. Like nearly all web hosts, Vercel keeps standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and requested page) to run and protect the service. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.
Song searches
When you search for a song or import a playlist, your search text is sent to our small server function, which looks it up and returns results. Searches are not tied to any identity and we do not build any history of them.
Children
Duetour is a general audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date.
